Presented for the first time on pro-tape, Ixaxaar Nexia’s Demo MMXX represents the most forward-thrusting, hyperviolent and unexpected debut of 2020.
The Toronto-based quantum death quartet shred genre distinctions, ear drums and listener expectations within the opening moments of their three-track deadly, alien artifact of a demo. Faster than black metal, more brutal and break-neck than death metal and far too intelligent for what we’ve come to consider war metal, Ixaxaar Nexia slay apex chaos nearly beyond human comprehension.
Like Quo Vadis on DMT, or Mitochondrion’s collective brain transplanted into Anaal Nathrakh’s body, Ixaxaar Nexia’s demo is extinction-goading, intergalactic war metal.

Some of the best raw black metal I’ve heard in a while. So many infectious riffs it’s absurd. Easily my favorite release from lamp of Murmuur. HyperboreanFrost

What a BEAST of an album. When it comes to blending black metal and mathcore, these guys and Hoplites are the clear leaders of the pack. This album is sheer annihilation of everything in it's path. Pure chaos and destruction. And it is beautiful. Ryan

Revenant Marquis continues with the subterranean vocals on this album. Percussion sound on all tracks has a very large sound, especially the bass drum. Guitar is generally very clean. The more I listen, the more I get Xasthur vibes, but with a more rock and roll influence. Still very depressive and chaotic. A cool album! QQBeastMode
